Fr. Leo Patalinghug calls in for the first time in the New Year. He and Gus talk about spiritual direction, loneliness and depression and an online conference he'll be speaking at called livingprolife.com. But their biggest discussion is on the Sacrament of Baptism since yesterday was the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord, which kicks off Ordinary Time in the Church's liturgical calendar. Fr. Leo explains why Jesus, who is the Son of God, got baptized even though he was sinless.
One item that came up while they were conversing was the number of people Gus hears from who lament their children haven't yet baptized their grandchildren. Gus goes over the Catholic teaching on baptism and why it's so important to us as Catholics.
And since Gus forgot to do the first Tell Me Something Good of the New Year last Monday, he opens up the lines for two segments to make up for it.
