Gus is joined by Catholic and fitness author Beth Bubik to talk about her new book, “Delay and Pray: Permanent Weight Loss Through Spiritual Fasting.” Beth uses the age old religious practice of fasting, which is a form of prayer, to instruct readers on how to lose weight. Beth explains that, through fasting, you will be holding the hand of Jesus while learning to delay unhealthy foods and pray for loved ones through it all.

Gus also talks about his and Michelle's busy weekend. First, they went to the wedding of one of their goddaughters. It was a beautiful Catholic wedding of two people with deep faith. He contrasts that with where he and Michelle were 45 years ago. Second, they went to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra live. It’s something he’s wanted to do for years and was highly recommended by Seize the Day’s former technical director, James Maresca. They finally did it and Gus and Michelle were completely blown away. Gus invites listeners to call in and share their best concert of 2024.

And it's Monday, so Gus does a couple rounds of Tell Me Something Good with listeners.
