Yesterday was the 800th anniversary of the Order of Friars Preachers, aka the Dominican Order. Fr. John Maria Devaney, O.P., host of Word to Life on the Catholic Channel and a Dominican friar, calls in to talk about what attracted him to the order and its influence on Catholic and secular culture these past 800 years.

Also, this past weekend was Gus eldest grandson Beckett's eighth birthday. He talks about his reaction when his daughter and son-in-law revealed his name to him and Michelle. He said it was unusual first name but has since become very fitting. He invites listeners to call in and talk about how they arrived at their children's names.

And, Gus goes over some Catholic news/notes, including a Russian woman who's suing McDonald's for $14 for enticing her to break her Lenten fast. Also, many Catholic influencers are boycotting Converse over there "Satanic" Chuck Taylor sneakers. And, the bishops of Ireland are clashing with their government over the latest round of COVID lockdowns.
