Gus is joined by Heidi Saxton in the Conversion Corner. She grew up in a Presbyterian/Methodist hybrid church and played organ for a local Lutheran church. She’d been playing since age five. In college, she started dating a Catholic man who was part of that mysterious religion she’d always heard about, mostly negatively, from her pastor. She tells Gus and the listeners the rest of her story. One of her chief influencers in her conversion was St. Oswald who is one of the subjects of her newest book, “Stories of the Eucharist: A Family Treasury of Saints and Seekers.”

Also, today is the wedding anniversary of Gus’ eldest son Patrick and his wife Tatiana. They got married five years ago in the middle of COVID. Of course, because of social distancing mandates outlined by state and local governments, Gus and Michelle, and pretty much everybody else, were prevented from attending in person and had to watch via Zoom. Gus asks listeners to call in and share their memories of COVID, good or bad.

And Gus does his daily Lenten reading and reflection on Thomas a Kempis' 15th century spiritual classic, "Imitation of Christ."
