It's our annual Holy Thursday show and, since there's no morning mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral, Gus starts 30 minutes early. He talks about how today ends Lent and the Triduum begins tonight with the Mass of the Lord's Supper. Gus invites listeners to call in and share their Lenten Penance final grades.
Also, Catholic theologian, author and speaker Dr. Scott Hahn calls in to talk about Holy Thursday and the liturgy of the Last Supper and its connection to the traditional Jewish feast of Passover, which we'll see in tonight's mass. Scott talks about this in-depth in his book "The Fourth Cup."
Later, Cardinal Timothy Dolan, the cardinal-archbishop of the Archdiocese of New York, calls in with an announcement of a fundraiser for the Cathedral of Notre Dame in Paris, which survived a devastating fire earlier this week and left its roof and other critical parts severely damaged. If you would like to donate to "From St. Patrick's to Notre Dame," please click here.
And we hear from Mark Randall, event chairman for the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast, which is this Tuesday, April 23rd. He talks about the number of notable Catholic and civic leaders who'll be speaking.
Lastly, Gus talks with listeners who are going through RCIA or are sponsoring someone who is.
