Gus goes over two news items of Catholic interest, including the wrap up of the USCCB November Meetings in Baltimore, which resulted in a couple updates of interest. First, they approved the revision of the guide, "Forming Consciences for Faithful Citizenship," which will emphasize abortion, euthanasia, gun violence, terrorism, human trafficking and the death penalty as grave threats to the life and dignity of the human person. The U.S. bishops also expressed support for a proposal to named St. John Henry Newman as a doctor of the Church. Also, Gus talks about the Vatican's confirmation that Catholics are still forbidden to join Masonic lodges because of the continuing anti-Catholic leanings at the fraternity's higher levels.
And for several years now, Gus has dedicated a portion of the show on the final Friday of the month to praying an Intentional Rosary with listeners. Since Seize the Day will not be live next Friday, which is the last Friday, Gus prays it today.

Also, in today's Friday w/the Fathers, Gus continues reading and reflecting on the Homilies of St. John Chrysostom. Today, Gus goes over the saint's homilies on St. Paul's Letter to the Ephesians.
Lastly, today is the Feast of St. Elizabeth of Hungary. Gus talks a little bit about her life and legacy.
St. Elizabeth of Hungary, pray for us!
