Gus shares some stories about the incoming 2019 class of priests. In a recent Crux article, one new priest talks about being in a punk rock band. One was a pole vaulter. Another drove a taxi. These days, many of our priests had professions before entering the seminary. Gus shares some interesting stories about his priest, and friend, Fr. Kevin and asks listeners to call in and share some interesting tidbits about their priests.

Gus' daughter Emily is a real estate agent in Florida and, a few days ago, she asked him if he had ever heard of the practice of burying a statue of St. Joseph in order to sell your house. Gus told her he was aware of the practice and that he's not a fan. He calls it "Catholic voodoo." He asks listeners if they've ever done it, what results they had and whether or not they believed it helped. He also asks if it's an acceptable Catholic practice.
