Bishop Thomas Paprocki of the Diocese of Springfield, Illinois calls in to talk about his statement which reiterates that Sen. Dick Durbin is not permitted to receive holy communion in his diocese because of his unwavering support of abortion. There have been many instances where Sen. Durbin has voted for pro-abortion laws, most recently his vote against the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and was one of the 14 self-identified Catholic senators who voted against cloture on January 29th for the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Act, which is a requirement to prevent a filibuster. Sen. Durbin has been barred from communion within his diocese since 2004. Bishop Paprocki explains why he made a public statement. Listen to the interview in its entirety here.

Yes, I also remember a book that is not mentioned. I believe it was “Happy now and forever” or something like that.
I was in the car when I heard the list so I could not write it down. There was another book mentioned by the priest who suggested the writings of John Shea, and I don’t see it listed. It had to do about the 7 choices you make: wealth v poverty, self v. others, etc. Can we get that title? Perhaps it is up there but I think not.
