Gus is joined by perhaps the most popular priest in North America, Fr. Mike Schmitz, a priest in the Diocese of Duluth, Minnesota who hosts the most popular podcast right now called The Bible in a Year. He shares Gus his vocation story, the incredible success of the podcast and talks about a virtual conference he's involved with that begins today called SEEK21.
Later, Gus goes over some Catholic news items that he's been meaning to get to, including Pope Francis establishing the World Day for Grandparents and the Elderly, which will take place in July around the Feast of St. Joachim and Anne, the grandparents of Jesus. He also talks about the State of Texas defunding Planned Parenthood from its Medicaid funding.
And, Gus prays an Intentional Rosary with listeners for his Friday Prayer Time.
I began this on Ash Wednesday and it’s the most remarkable journey through the Bible. I am learning so many wonderful things from Father Mike. I wish everyone would consider doing this.
