Gus is joined by Catholic historian/author Steve Weidenkopf who talks about his new book, “Canceled: Twelve Catholic Heroes That History Turned Into Villains,” available from Catholic Answers Press. In it, Steve does a deeper dive into characters history has deemed as notorious, including Marie Antoinette and Christopher Columbus and goes over what they’ve been charged with by Enlightenment philosophers, Protestant rebels, modern secularists and Catholic malcontents. Gus in particular asks about “Bloody” Mary Tudor and Guy Fawkes.
Gus also does his daily Lenten reading and reflection of Thomas a Kempis' "Imitation of Christ" as well as Friday w/the Fathers, which continues with the writings of St. Augustine of Hippo, and does his weekly Prayer Time with listeners.
