Gus welcomed Martin Pistorius to the Catholic Channel studios in New York City today for a one-on-one interview about his harrowing ordeal. Martin contracted meningitis as a young boy, which left him in a paralytic, vegetative state for 12 years, completely aware of his surroundings but unable to communicate. Eventually, Martin’s aromatherapist discovered his cognitive abilities and his condition gradually improved (see below for before and after photographs). Martin goes into detail with Gus about how he got through this ordeal. To read Martin Pistorius’ story, click here.
Also, Dr. Paul Kengor, director of the Center for Vision & Values, calls in to the program to talk about how Pope Francis is not a champion of same-sex marriage. Check out Dr. Kengor’s take on the subject by clicking here.
And, in the U.K., Parliament has approved the measure to allow the creation of babies using the DNA of two women and one man, also know as “designer babies.” Gus is very much against this decision and give his reasons why and then gets caller reaction. To read more about it, click here.
