Gus starts off the program with a bang this morning, sharing the news that his daughter Carly got engaged over the weekend to her boyfriend Jose, but before popping the question Jose approached Gus a couple of weeks before and asked him for his daughter’s hand in marriage. Gus invites listeners to call in and share their engagement stories and if the groom-to-be approached his bride-to-be’s father.
Later, Gus talks about visiting the Milk Grotto Church in Bethlehem while he was in the Holy Land recently. According to Catholic tradition, the chapel was built on a spot where a drop of the Blessed Vrigin Mary’s breast milk had landed and has since become a pilgrimage site for couples dealing with infertility. Gus invites listeners to call in who’ve struggled with infertility and talk about what got them through it and if they got pregnant after praying any special prayers or devotions.
