Today Gus recounted a recent “divine appointment” that he had on his flight home from Washington, DC. He sat next to Esther, who was struggling with her faith after losing her father. Esther said that God must have sent Gus to sit next to her and encourage her. Gus’ listeners then recalled divine appointments in their lives.

Gus told the story today of Garth Sangree, a student at the University of North Florida, where Gus’ sons attend college. Garth has not been seen since this past weekend when he went out kayaking. Read his story here and please pray for Garth and his family.

As much of the northeast goes through a blizzard, Gus spoke with Randall Cerveny, a professor of Geographical Sciences at Arizona State University about what Randall calls “Weather Saints.” Read his article about the Weather Saints here.

Finally, Gus spoke with Patrick Lofton, Executive VP of the National Catholic Education Association about Catholic Schools Week and the state of Catholic education today.
