Job's End

Posted on

This week we have read from the Book of Job for our first readings. Today we hear the end of the story.

Throughout all his trials, which were more than most of us will ever endure, Job never broke faith. And in the end, he was rewarded. "Thus the LORD blessed the latter days of Job more than his earlier ones. After this, Job lived a hundred and forty years and he saw his children, his grandchildren, and even his great-grandchildren. Then Job died, old and full of years."

God will always reward us for our faithfulness. It may not be in material riches here on earth, but the riches of heaven are far greater. Hang in there like Job and the story will end well!

Father, may we never break faith, regardless of circumstances, knowing that you will reward us in the end. Amen.
