On the eve of Halloween, Gus talks with listeners about their feelings on the holiday. Do you participate? Do you not? Do you feel the “culture of death” has taken hold of it? Gus also talks about the Catholic roots of Halloween.

Also, there was a proposal on October 29th by Parade Chairman John L. Lahey and the board of directors whether or not to remove the section, in the organization’s bylaws, that states, “The Parade will be held in honor of St Patrick, the Patron Saint of the Archdiocese of New York and the Patron Saint of Ireland.” Gus talks with Crisis Magazine writer Matthew Hennessey about that very issue and whether or not it was passed (it wasn’t, by the way; the meeting was called off due to the negative reaction). Read Matthew’s article here.

And, lastly, Gus engages in a little Prayer Time with listeners.
