Gus talks today with the Friars on Foot, Fr. Francis Orozco and Fr. Joseph Schaefgen, both friars from the Dominican Friars Province of St. Martin de Porres, who, starting on Sunday, are embarking on a month long journey, on foot, from New Orleans, Louisiana to Memphis…sort of their own little Way of St. James or Camino de Santiago. Fr. Francis and Fr. Joseph will take no money, no food and no Smart phone on their endeavor and will rely solely on the kindness of strangers and churches. They will, however, have a flip phone for emergencies and to be able to contact their Web master in order to provide an update of where they stopped each day.

Also, Gus talked with Deacon Tom Cabeen, a former Jehovah’s Witness elder and a Catholic convert, about what exactly Jehovah’s Witnesses believe and he we, as Catholics and Christians, should respond when they knock on our door to evangelize us.

Gus also plays a round of Get to Know Me and engages in a little Prayer Time with listeners.
