Gus talks with Rick Hinshaw, director of communications at the Catholic League, about the controversial new sitcom “The Real O’Neals,” executive produced by Dan Savage, a gay activist who has made his anti-Catholic sentiments no secret, which reflect in his new project. Rick talks about how the Catholic League is countering this over-the-top parody of Catholic beliefs and both agree the show most likely won’t last…due mostly to its base, insulting type of comedy.

Also, Don Richard, legal counsel for Fr. Jeff Bayhi, joins Gus to talk about how a lawsuit filed by Rebecca Mayeaux attempted to get the priest to testify about what she revealed to him in the confessional. Rebecca claims that a parishioner sexually abused her to which she told him in confession. She further claimed he told her to sweep it under the rug. A Louisiana law that requires clergy to report allegations of wrongdoing, even if learned during sacramental confession, is unconstitutional, a state judge ruled Friday.
