Our Gospel reading today is from Mark 2, the call of Levi, aka Matthew. Jesus says to him, "Follow me." And he got up and followed Jesus.
In the first reading today from Hebrews 4, we read: "So let us confidently approach the throne of grace to receive mercy and to find the grace for timely help."
In my book Magnetic Christianity, I identify one of the attributes of a Magnetic Christian of Confidence. Because "we have a great high priest" who "has similarly been tested in every way, yet without sin" we can come to Him with confidence that our prayers will be heard and answered, in His will and His time.
Father, help us to not be timid about approaching Jesus, but have great confidence! Amen.
