Based off today's Gospel reading from Luke and Gus' 60 Second Reflection, where Jesus tells the crowd, "This generation is an evil generation; it seeks a sign, but no sign will be given it, except the sign of Jonah." Gus says that he doesn't believe it's wrong to ask God for a sign. The problem arises when we challenge God by asking him for something specific of our own making. Gus asks listeners to call in if they've ever be given a sign by God.

Also, Gus is joined by Fr. Vincent Lampert, the exorcist for the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, and the host of a new course about exorcism presented by Emmaus Academy called "Exorcism." Fr. Lampert talks about how he came about being an exorcist, what that actually entails and clears up some of the misconceptions of exorcism. If you're interested in the course, you can sign up for a free 14-day trial here.

And Gus reads and reflects on a recent Peter Rowden article published by the Stream called "The Evil of Ordinary People." He agrees with the author's conclusion that the only way Palestine and Israel can shed this violent, cyclical skin is under the mantle of Jesus Christ. That doesn't mean proselytizing or through forced conversion, but through continued evangelization and witness.
