Gus talks about yesterday's Supreme Court Justice Confirmation Hearings in the United States Senate involving Judge Amy Coney Barrett and plays several clips involving her and certain U.S. senators. Gus says that, although these hearings do get testy at times, this one has been very tame, especially when compared to Justice Brett Kavanaugh's hearing back in 2018. Back in 2017, when Amy Coney Barrett was going through her hearing for the U.S. Court of Appeals, her Catholic faith was made an issue by some senators, most notably Dianne Feinstein of California. Although the subject has been delicately broached in yesterday's hearings, it wasn't really spotlighted.

And yesterday, Gus talked with listeners about church shopping. One caller said that she left a church after going to mass there for nearly 20 years and never being approached by anybody there. Gus has heard that complaint before, although 18 years certainly is unusual, so he asks listeners to call in about feeling welcome or unwelcome in a Catholic church.
