Today is the start of the Papal Conclave, which will ultimately decide who the Catholic Church’s 267th pope will be, and nobody knows how long that’s going to take. Gus goes over the conclave process, beginning with today where only one vote is taken. Tomorrow and Friday have four votes scheduled and, if necessary, will continue throughout the weekend. Gus talks about the Catholic Channel’s coverage and how he and his fellow hosts will be bringing it to the listeners for however long it takes. He's joined by papal historians Dr. Cheryl White of Louisiana State University - Shreveport and Dr. Michael Breidenbach of Ave Maria University to talk about this historic day.
Later, Gus continues with his Adopt-a-Cardinal campaign, where listeners call in and he assigns each one a cardinal to pray for during the conclave.
