Today is the Feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist who Gus terms a miracle baby. His parents were on in years, had never had a child and his mother, St. Elizabeth, was believed to be barren. While every baby is a miracle in its own way, Gus invites listeners who've had a miracle baby to call in and share their story. We hear several stories where the odds against them having a baby were slim or there was some sort of trauma associated with the birth.
And, Gus reads an article by Msgr. Eric Barr entitled "Catholics Are Not Coming Back...Unless," which paints a bleak picture of a post-pandemic Catholic Church and gets listener opinion.
