Today is the 50th anniversary of Pope Paul VI's landmark encyclical "Humanae Vitae" and to commemorate it, Gus welcomes one of its foremost on the document, Dr. Janet Smith, to talk about this historical document, which defends the Catholic Church's position against artificial contraception. Dr. Smith is the editor of the new book "Why Humanae Vitae is Still Right." Afterwards, Gus reads the encyclical from start to finish.

Later, Gus talks with listeners about artificial contraception and if the subject has ever come up in a spiritual context. Have they ever heard it in a homily? During precana? At a conference?

I love Gus’ show, especially this one. Humane Vitae was SO prophetic and I am grateful that Gus read it in its entirety on the air. Powerful!
On another note, Gus interviewed my nephew, Father Anthony Viviano, on his show 3 years ago. I know of another fasinating story about a Catholic priest in the Kansas City-St. Joseph diocese. How can I get this info to Gus for a possible interview with this priest?
    Is there a procedure?
    Thank you,
    Jerry Viviano
