In honor of today's Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul, Gus talks about how Fr. Leo Patalinghug converted him to brussels sprouts and asks listeners to call in if they ever experienced a food conversion. Was there a particular food they hated growing up and now consider themselves connoisseurs? On a more serious note, he also invites listeners who've had a faith conversion experience to call in and share it.
Also, speaking of Fr. Leo, he calls in to talk about that and how he next aims to convert Gus to lima beans. He also talks about his recent pilgrimage to the Holy Land and to preview Gus and Michelle's Danube River Cruise in September. They also talk grocery shopping, particularly the differences between how we grocery shop in the U.S. and how it's done in much of Europe.
Gus also talks about yesterday's conviction of Fr. Fidelis Moscinski and invites listeners to call in and give their opinion on what he did. Was blocking access to a Planned Parenthood a righteous action or a bridge too far in terms of protest.
