Today at noon ET, Joe Biden will be officially sworn in as 46th president of the United States. Gus mentions his concerned about our new president but hopes for the best and encourages all his listeners to pray for him daily and opens up the phones and gets their thoughts and feelings about him.

Last week, a bill was introduced into the North Dakota State Senate which would require priests to break the seal of the confessional if someone confesses to abusing a child in any way. This has happened in other states, notably California and Louisiana, but have been struck down as a violation of the First Amendment. Gus talks to Christopher Dodson, executive director and general counsel for the North Dakota Catholic Conference, about the details and his expectations for this bill.

And, in today's First Reading from St. Paul's Letter to the Hebrews, he quotes from the Book of Genesis when he says, "You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek." This quote is particularly meaningful for our priests. Inspired by that, Gus dishes out a little priestly love today but asking listeners to call in and talk about a priest who had a positive impact on them.

    Dear Gus,
thank you for all you do. I enjoy listening to you.
You may have heard about Fr. Dolindo Ruotolo, the stigmatized priest who died in 1970.
St. Pio said: ‘all of heaven is in him.’
Fr. Dolindo had profound humility and suffering. His SURRENDER NOVENA is powerful.
“O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything!”
I hope this is uplifting to you.
