Gus is joined by Paul Kengor, author of the new book "The Devil and Karl Marx." He talks about the controversial philosopher's life, the anti-family, anti-religious roots of his philosophy and the dangerous impact it's had on several cultures nearly 140 years after his death.

Also, yesterday, it was announced that Cardinal Timothy Dolan, of the Archdiocese of NY, would give the opening prayer at the Republican National Convention next week. Similarly, at the Democratic National Convention, Fr. James Martin and Sister Simone Campbell were invited to pray. Gus asks listeners to call in and give their opinion on whether or not Church representatives should appear at these types of political forums.

Larry, I’m afraid not. On Demand only goes back a week. I’m sure this will come up as a best-of show in the future.
