Today is the Feast of St. Faustina Kowalska who lived from 1905 to 1938 and was shown the vision of the Divine Mercy by God which is now commonplace. She was also shown visions of hell and Gus goes over a recent CNA article entitled "7 Things You Need to Know About St. Faustina and Her Vision of Hell." Gus says that, even though this vision was less than 100 years ago, we don't seem to hear much about hell in the pulpit these days. He asks listeners to call in and share whether or not their priest talks about hell and its reality.
Also, Dr. Matthew Bunson of EWTN calls in to talk with Gus about the German Synod that's currently underway. It's a radical synod in that it seeks to normalize homosexuality and bless same sex unions as well as change the nature of the priesthood, including allowing women to be priests and the authority of bishops. Later, they discuss the Vatican financial trial involving Cardinal Angelo Becciu.
