Gus talks about it being the middle of Pumpkin Season. Each year, beginning around September 1st, there's pumpkin-flavored everything; pumpkin latte, pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffins. Gus says that, although he does enjoy many pumpkin-flavored things, being a born contrarian, he gets put off by it. He invites listeners to call in and share what pumpkin-flavored treats they enjoy.
Later, Gus welcomes Jimmy Mitchell, director of campus ministry at Jesuit High School in Tampa, to his home studio. Jimmy shares the story of his faith journey and his ministry, which is helping high school-age kids maintain their faith.
