Gus tells the story of Fr. P.J. Hughes, a priest in Ireland, who has bucked the church lockdown orders, which have been in place since October, by offering mass and not locking the church doors. He has been issued a 500 euro fine by the Gardai and may face jail time for refusing to pay it. Fr. Hughes has said he will not pay the fine. Gus asks listeners if they support this priest or not.

Later, Fr. Matthew Hawkins sits down with Gus in the Conversion Corner. Fr. Hawkins grew up a pastor's kid in the African Methodist Episcopal Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He grew up around Catholicism and ecumenism and even attended Catholic school for a little while. Like so many, when he went off to college he became more of a secularist. He shares his journey to the Catholic faith and to the priesthood with Gus and the listeners.
