Today is another important anniversary in Gus' life, the 10th anniversary of his sister Nancy's death. She developed cancer and spent her last days with Gus and his wife. Gus says he considered it an honor to be with his sister as she reached the end of her life, and he invites listeners to call in who've had a similar experience with a loved one.
Also, June is a month devoted to the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the life of the Church and, today, Gus is joined by Catholic author Emily Jaminet to talk about her new book, "Holy Habits from the Sacred Heart: Ten Ways to Build Stronger, More Loving Relationships." Emily is the executive director of the Sacred Heart Enthronement Network and, in her book, tells us how we can implement the virtues we gain from devotion to the sacred heart to get closer to Jesus and strengthen our personal relationships.
