Actress, producer, director and Catholic evangelist Nicole Abisinio calls in to talk about her latest project, "The Advocate," which is streaming now on Pureflix. She also shares a bit of her fascinating faith journey, which led her from Hollywood to the doorsteps of a Catholic church.
Also, Gus shares that, over the weekend, his oldest son Patrick completed a 100-mile run in Land O'Lakes, Florida in under 24 hours, which surprised even himself. He was shooting for 26 minutes. He talks about the preparation work that went into doing something like that and how that can apply to just about anything in life.
Later Gus does a round of Tell Me Something Good with listeners and hears from several who've just started Ascension Press' "Catechism in a Year" hosted by Fr. Mike Schmitz. Inspired by what several shared about it, as well as Patrick's 100-mile run, Gus talks about sluggishness, which is addressed in today's First Reading from St. Paul's Letter to the Hebrews.
And Gus talks a little bit about St. Antony of the Desert, the saint whose feast we celebrate today.
