Since it's Shrove Tuesday, or Fat Tuesday, aka the day before the beginning of Lent, Gus asks listeners what they plan on giving up or taking on this Lent as well as what's worked or what hasn't worked in past Lents. Afterwards, Fr. Leo Patalinghug calls in to talk about Lent and what are good practices and what may be not-so-good. He also talks about the idea of gorging yourself on Fat Tuesday and the COVID protocol dispensation of ashes on Ash Wednesday.

Later, Gus takes a minute to criticize the Vatican's recommendation to dispense ashes with COVID protocol and questions the science behind making the cross on someone's forehead when you're in contact for about five seconds. He also asks if masks work, why can't we wear masks up to the altar?
