Yesterday, the Vatican released a document entitled Fiducia supplicans, which gives priests guidance for spontaneous blessings of couples in irregular circumstances or relationships and more. It's a 5,000-word document so Gus reads and reflects on some of the most interesting excerpts from it. He also reads many of the various headlines from secular and religious news agencies.
Also, Gus is joined by Catholic teacher, author, speaker and musician Jim Papandrea. He is also a former Protestant minister who converted to Catholicism many years ago. After sharing a bit of his conversion story, he talks about the big announcement that he is the new host of the Way of the Fathers podcast, which had previously been hosted by Mike Aquilina on the Catholic Culture Podcast Network. The podcast focused on the writings and teaching of the early Church fathers, many of whom were followers of the original apostles.
