Gus is joined by Catholic speaker and radio/podcast host Nick de la Torre to talk about his life and ministry. Nick is a classically trained vocalist and an aspiring opera tenor. As a young man, he explored occult and New Age concepts, including self-empowerment. His conversion began when he was studying in a music conservatory and dropped out when he realized he was in it completely for self-glorification. He shares his compelling story with Gus and his listeners and talks about his organization, Awaken Catholic, and their mission, which focuses on media, events and community.

Afterwards, Gus talks more about the occult and what that means, and he mentions Satan worship, Ouija boards, psychic mediums, and things of that nature. He invites listeners to call in and talk about what the occult means to them and if they have ever gotten into it.

Later, Bob Dunning calls in to recap some college football, including the first two head coach firings, Virginia Tech and UCLA, and Notre Dame’s 0-2 start. Despite that, Notre Dame is still ranked in both the AP and Coaches polls. They also pick the winners of this weekend’s biggest games.
