Tomorrow marks the 100th anniversary of St. Josemaria Escriva’s ordination to the priesthood. He is best known for his book “The Way” and for being the founder of Opus Dei. The personal prelature will celebrate with events in the saint’s native Spain and in Rome. Gus is joined by John Coverdale, author of the book “Uncommon Faith: The Early Years of Opus Dei (1928-1943),” who talks about the saint and his institution and clears up many of the misconceptions caused by the Dan Brown novel, “The DaVinci Code.”

Also, yesterday marked the halfway point of Lent and Gus invited listeners to call in and talk about how their Lenten penances and offerings are going. One caller said that she was reading Gary Zimak’s book “Give Up Worry for Lent” and ever since she started, she’s been struggling with spiritual attacks. Gus talks about a few notable spiritual attacks he’s undergone in his life and invites listeners to call in, share theirs and how they handled it.

Later, Bob Dunning calls in to talk about a number of issues, including the Sweet 16. Bob talks about the correct pronunciation of Gonzaga and the incredible run by Duke and their star forward Cooper Flagg.

And Gus does his daily Lenten reading and reflection on Thomas a Kempis' "Imitation of Christ."
