Today is Gus' youngest grandson Wyatt's sixth birthday. Gus talks about how he didn't really have a relationship with his grandparents growing up, mostly because of age and distance, and, when he and Michelle became grandparents, they made a vow to be hands-on. Gus invites listeners to call in and share what their relationship was like with their grandparents or, if they are grandparents, what their relationship is like with their grandchildren.

Later, Gus talks about the power of prayer, particularly praying over somebody or being prayed over. He invites listeners who've experience one or the other, or both, to call in and share their experiences.

And, Fr. Jeffrey Kirby calls in to talk about his new book "Real Religion: How to Avoid False Faith and Worship God in Spirit and Truth." Fr. Kirby was in our Conversion Corner back in July so he gives a condensed version of his conversion and vocation stories before talking about the nuts and bolts of the book.

Gus, I am disappointed in your snarky reference to “Lord Faucci” on today’s show. It was not necessary and not kind.
