Gus shares a recent Pope Leo XIV story where he offered some advice to a young, married couple, telling them to make time to pray together, especially the Rosary. He asks listeners if they pray with their spouses and invites them to call in and share if they do and, if so, how?
Also, Dr. Matthew Bunson of EWTN News calls in to go over a number of news items of Catholic interest, including how the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has exposed what they refer to as horrifying ethical failures in organ transplant system. They talk about the practice, what the Catholic Church teaches on it and that it is a good and righteous thing on the face of it, but how anyone who has volunteered for it should really look into the details of it. Also, a new judiciary report details how the Richmond FBI office spied on a Catholic priest because he refused to discuss his conversations with a particular parishioner. This is the second time that office has been accused of anti-Catholic activity. In February 2023, it was revealed that this same office was spying on a Catholic church that offers the Traditional Latin Mass. And they wrap it up talking about how Pope Leo has recognized the healing of a premature baby in Rhode Island as a miracle attributed to Venerable Valera Parra who is often referred to as “the Spanish Cure of Ars.”
And Bob Dunning calls in to talk about a couple of things with Gus, including the penny going away and tipping philosophies. Gus reveals that the whole tipping tablet thing was created by the credit card industry because they get a percentage of it.
