Gus returns to the airwaves for the first time in 2020 after an extended Christmas breaks and he talks about New Year's resolutions. Since resolutions tend to be hackneyed and quickly forgotten, Gus has 12 Scriptural New Year's resolutions that he gives away to 12 listeners who call in.

Later, Gus talks about a video that went viral a few days ago, which shows Pope Francis slapping a woman's hands. The Holy Father was exiting St. Peter's Basilica on New Year's Eve and was greeting the crowd gathered outside. When he began to walk away, a woman in the crowd grabbed his arm and pulled him to her to which he reacted very tersely by slapping her hands and scowling at her. He has since issued an apology. Gus defends the pope's actions, calling them a normal reaction, and turns it over to listeners. You can read more about it here.
