Gus welcomes Shevin McCullough to his home studio. Shevin is the co-founder of Studio 3:16, which offers original Catholic-based entertainment to middle school students and younger, and a singer/rapper who recently performed his new song "Emmanuel Forever," with Fr. Rob Galea, at World Youth Day in Lisbon, Portugal. He talks about what is was like to perform in front of over one million people as well as his personal faith journey, which led him to create Studio 3:16, what they offer and what they have coming up.
Also, earlier this week, Bishop Robert Barron, the bishop of Winona-Rochester, Minnesota and the founder of Word on Fire Ministries, said that events like World Youth Day are important to counter the "dumbing down of the faith," which has been significant in the decades following the Second Vatican Council. Gus asks listeners what that means and invites them to call in and share their thoughts.
