Gus goes over a few news stories of Catholic interest, including discovery of 115 aborted babies from D.C. abortion mill, including five partial-birth abortions and a Jesuit-run middle school in Worcester, Massachusetts flying a gay pride flag and a Black Lives Matter flag. The bishop of the diocese has asked the school to take them down. Gus invites listeners to call in and comment on whether or not a Catholic school should fly such flags.
Also, Fr. Dustin Dought, associate director for the Office of Divine Worship at the USCCB, calls in to talk about RCIA and the process that catechumens go through during the Lenten season, culminating into them being received into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil mass.
And Gus gives away copies of A Minute in the Church: Back to the Basics to listeners who are involved in the RCIA process in some manner.
I would not compare these flags to the American or Ukranian flags. I think a more correct analogy would be to compare them to flags bearing representations of other sins. Would a flag depicting an aborted baby be ok? We welcome all to join us and repent. We don’t welcome them to come and continue or love their sin.
