Gus talks about the death of prominent Protestant pastor/televangelist Dr. Charles Stanley who passed away this past Tuesday at age 90. Gus says that, although he had a lot of theological differences with Dr. Stanley, he was often inspired by him. He invites listeners to call in and talk about people in the media who have been influential in their faith lives.
Later, Gus replays his incredible interview with Mike Piazza from yesterday and, afterwards, talks about some Supreme Court news involving the U.S. Mail, including an extension on the temporary pause of the abortion drug mifepristone by Justice Samuel Alito, which the Biden administration wants to mail to people. Also, on Tuesday, oral arguments were heard in the case of Groff v. DeJoy, which seeks to allow more religious protections in the workplace. Gerald Groff is a former U.S. Postal Service employee who was essentially forced into retirement because he refused to work on Sundays, as it violates his religious freedom.
