Fr. Mitch Pacwa, the legendary EWTN host, calls in to talk about his newest book, “St. Paul on the Power of the Cross” from Sophia Institute Press. After sharing his vocation story and why he chose the Jesuit order, he talks about the purpose of the book, which is to help readers discover how Jesus Christ crucified is the wisdom of God. The cross itself radiates the power of God and he shares what this means for us.

Later, Gus talks about a unique penance he got recently and, since confession is a big element of our Lenten journey, he invites listeners to call in and talk about their most unique penance or any other interesting confession experience they’ve had.

Afterwards, Bob Dunning calls in and Gus continues the confession topic with him. They both role play and give each other penances.

And Gus does his daily Lenten practice of reading and reflecting on Thomas a Kempis' "Imitation of Christ."
