Gus is joined by Abbot Philip Anderson of the Monks of Clear Creek to talk about their new album of Gregorian chant entitled "Rorate Coeli: Marian Sounds of Advent" which will be released by Sophia Institute Press later this week. He also shares the story of the monastery, his conversion to the Catholic faith and subsequent vocation to the priesthood.
Also, Gus talks about a unique parish fundraiser he'd recently heard about where the highest bidder gets to ban a hymn from mass. Gus talks about how there are many hymns that he loves but a few he could do without. He invites listeners to call in and talk about why hymn they would ban if they could.
We also do a round of Tell Me Something Good and, during the segment, a couple callers talked about what Gus always refers to as "divine appointments." That's when God puts you in a situation where you can only grow in grace and, oftentimes, it includes other people. Gus invites listeners to call in and share a divine appointment in their lives.

    KJ,
If you follow the link for Rorate Coeli you’ll find a link for the promotional video, on which is some of the chant.
    Thanks for listening!
    Gus
