Today is the Feast of St. Jerome, Catholic priest, confessor, theologian and historian, who lived circa 342 A.D. to 420 A.D. He is best known for translating the Hebrew Bible into Latin, which is now known as the Latin Vulgate and is still the standard-bearer for many of the Christian Bibles throughout the world, most notably the one used by the Catholic Church. In honor of his feast day, Gus plays a game of Bible Roulette, focusing on the New Testament, where listeners give him a number between 1010 and 1394 and he picks a random Scripture passage for them to ruminate on today.
And, it's Monday and that always means Gus asks the listeners call in to Tell Me Something Good.
St. Jerome, pray for us.
