Today is All Souls Day, an important feast in the life of the Church. Gus talks why the Catholic Church takes praying for the dead very seriously and why we dedicate the month of November especially to that. He also uses this as an opportunity to explain the Catholic Church's teaching on Purgatory, which is the cornerstone of this feast day.

Also, Brian Caulfield, spokesperson for the Knights of Columbus, calls in to talk about the beatification of the organization's founder, Fr. Michael McGivney, now known as Blessed Fr. Michael McGivney. Brian talks about his life, why he founded the Knights, his principles and legacy and the miracle attributed to his beatification. If you'd like to join the Guild of Blessed Michael McGivney, which serves as a source for information about his life, works and spirituality, you may do so by clicking here.
