Gus talks about San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone barred Nancy Pelosi, who lives in that archdiocese, from receiving holy communion at mass because of her outspoken beliefs on abortion and the expansion thereof. He reads the text of the letter sent to Pelosi as well as the letter sent to the faithful of his archdiocese explaining his decision. The final letter Gus reads is Abp. Cordileone's letter to the priest of his diocese and why he took such measures and how they are to react if she does present herself.
Later, Catholic novelist Michele Chynoweth calls in to talk about her newest novel The Wise Man as well as her approach to writing and how she's inspired by her Catholic faith.
Also, Gus does a round of Tell Me Something Good and asks listeners if they read along to the mass readings or simply listen.

Thank you for the interview with author Michelle Chynoweth.
Our local library either had her books or borrowed them from another library and sent them to me.
    I enjoyed reading all 5.
The insights to addictions was very informative.
