Today is the 100th birthday of Karol Wojtyla, aka Pope St. John Paul II. Gus talks about the impact the late pontiff made on his life and invites listeners to call in and share how the saint affected their lives and/or faith.
Gus is joined by Dr. Grazie Pozo Christie, policy advisor for the Catholic Association. Since Dr. Christie is a radiologist, based in Miami, Florida, which is a hot spot, Gus asks her how she's been affected by the coronavirus.
Gus, this is Dennis from San Antonio. It is great to hear you again now that we get free SiriusXM streaming this month. I’m not able to call in because I’m listening on the rebroadcast. But, our close encounter with St. Pope John Paul II was in, I think, 1985 when he visited San Antonio. We attended the Mass & he passed maybe 15 – 20 ft. from us in his popemobile as he was making his way to the alter area. It was a special day. Also, we understand you had some very kind words for us on the Monday after your visit to St. Joseph-Honey Creek in late Feb. We were on our cruise in the Western Caribbean so we weren’t able to listen to your show.
