Gus does a Monday Morning Church Check and talks about how, in his diocese, mask mandates and roped off pews are coming to an end. He gets updates from listeners around the country.
Also, this week is the one year anniversary of Seize the Day returning to live broadcasts after pre-taping the program for approximately two months in the early days of the coronavirus pandemic. During our pre-tape era, Gus would record several interviews per day in order to keep the content fresh and he spoke with many interesting people. To commemorate that, Gus plays an interview with Fr. Clint Ressler, pastor of St. Mary of the Miraculous Medal in Texas City, Texas who, during his dioceses lockdown, visited parishioners and others on his bicycle daily.
And, it's Monday so Gus does a few rounds of Tell Me Something Good.
It is refreshing to see how Gus constantly equates faith and politics. In an era where people separate the two Gus has the courage to remind us that Jesus would be a Republican and as Catholics we should be too! God bless you Gus!
