Gus is joined by Dr. John Sottosanti, author of the new book, “Mortal Adhesions: A Surgeon Battles the Seven Deadly Sins to Find Faith, Happiness and Inner Peace.” It’s a reversion story. The son of Italian immigrants, Dr. Sottosanti grew up in a loving family with a faithful mother. His father, however, told him from a young age that having money would make him happy. He followed that path to medical school and became a surgeon. He got married to a wonderful woman and wanted to shower her with wealth, including a private practice, a big home and a Mercedes-Benz, but he found out that his father’s advice was false, and that money didn’t buy him happiness. He shares with Gus how he shed that skin and found his faith.
Gus also talks about the passing of Al Kresta, a pioneer in Catholic radio and the founder of Ava Maria Radio, and does a couple rounds of Tell Me Something Good with listeners.
