Last week, while Gus was away, one of his favorite feasts days took place, the Feast of Sts. Joachim and Anne, the parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Jesus' grandparents. Gus gives a belated observance by inviting listeners to call in and share stories about their grandparents and how they were influenced by them. He also asks them to share what names they called them.
Gus also does a little Tell Me Something Good and gives an update on Nicholas Sandmann's lawsuit against the Washington Post and various other media outlets. Sandmann alleges that he was portrayed very negatively during a perceived standoff between students at his high school, Covington Catholic, and a Native American elder Nathan Phillips. A judge presiding over the case has dismissed it but Sandmann's attorneys have filed for an appeal.
